Transportation

Dexter School owns and operates a fleet of more than twenty school buses, which are primarily driven by the school’s faculty and staff. Having a familiar face behind the wheel aids new students in adjusting to the School, helps develop student-teacher relationships, and encourages safe and appropriate bus conduct.

Although Dexter is unable to provide pick-up points in every town, centralized stops in Boston and in more than 20 communities in the Greater Boston area provide students and parents with convenient access to the buses. Assembling in groups at specific pickup areas allows routes to be as direct as possible, reducing the trips for most students to approximately one half hour. Although the cost of bus service is included in the tuition, the School may not be able to furnish transportation for every student.

Questions about transportation should be directed to the school office, either by calling (617) 454-2709 or by emailing transportation@dexter.org.
