| Q. | What is the application deadline? | | A. | Applications for all grades are due by February 1, with decision letters mailed on March 10. For applicants outside the regular cycle, applications are considered on a rolling basis, as they become complete. |

| Q. | What standardized tests are required for admission? | | A. | For Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4, standardized testing is not required. For Grades 5-12, applicants take either the SSAT or the ISEE examinations. Information on these tests can be found online at www.ssat.org and www.erbtest.org respectively. | Q. | Does Southfield host Open Houses? | | A. | Southfield hosts Open Houses during the fall. Please check the admission homepage for scheduled dates. It is important to note that attendance at an Open House does not replace the individual parent visit required for admission to Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 6, or the individual parent/student visit required for Grades 7-12. Individual parent and parent/student visits provide an opportunity for families to see classrooms in action, hear about and discuss in more detail the curriculum and philosophy of the school, and to ask any question they may have in a personalized setting. |
