| | | SUMMER 2013 will bring back by popular demand the Drama Workshop. Occasionally we add special workshops and clinics to the regular camp programs. Choose to concentrate in an activity or area of interest. Workshops and clinics are generally a five-day activity that takes the place of some regular morning periods. Participants start at their regular camp for morning attendance, go to the workshop or clinic at 8:30, and rejoin their camp around noon for regular activities. |
Special Workshops and Clinics Drama WorkshopDiscover the fun and exciting world of theater and drama. Drama Workshop will meet in the Clay Center Lecture Hall and use the stage, green room, stage lighting, and audio-visual equipment. Campers will attend the workshop from 8:30 am to noon in place of other morning activities. Offered in weeks 2, 4, and 5 for Enrichment Campers and for Day Camp Groups 4 and 5. The workshop will be run by Mrs. Domke of the Dexter and Southfield and Drama Departments. Morning classes will focus on improvisation games, acting in skits, performing Readers Theater, movement for the stage, and rehearsing for the Friday performance. Learn how to create a character, know your way around the stage, collect props, and create costumes. Each week will be a new unit and a different performance every Friday. This workshop is available for Enrichment Campers and Day Camp Groups 4 and 5. |
