Dexter Lacrosse Wins Title, Rowing Competes at NEIRA Championships
The Dexter Varsity Lacrosse team defeated St. Luke’s School (New Canaan, CT) 13-3 in the championship game on Saturday to win the New England Small School Tournament for the third year in a row. In recognition of his team’s success, Coach Don Thomas was named Coach of the Year (Eastern New England Region) by US Lacrosse. Congratulations to the team and to Coach Thomas for another great season! Also over the weekend, three crews from Dexter’s rowing team competed at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association’s championship regatta. The Dexter athletes raced against some of the best school programs in the country and performed well, although they did not make the finals. There is much enthusiasm for next season and the growing rowing program at Dexter and Southfield.
