Southfield Graduation

The Southfield Class of 2012 became the fifth graduating class in School history before family, friends, and faculty on Wednesday morning. Valedictorian Barbara Terwilliger spoke eloquently about how the Class of 2012 has contributed to the growth of Southfield School. She described her classmates’ varied accomplishments, saying “Because of these girls, people know who we are…I now ask the future classes of Southfield to continue what we have started, to keep alive the spirit and character we have created.” Guest Speaker Emilie Liebhoff, Deputy Director of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools and a former Southfield teacher, challenged and inspired the 14 seniors, asking them “How will you shape the changing world we live in, and what will be your role?” The graduation exercises also included the awarding of prizes for Classes 9-12.
