Southfield’s 20^th anniversary year ended Wednesday with Prize Day Exercises featuring public speaking, prizes and citations for students and faculty, and the awarding of certificates for Class 8. Faculty member Kristin Vincent, introduced as the guest speaker by her daughter Louisa Vincent, Class of 2016, recalled teaching in Southfield’s earliest years and asked, “What is a Southfield girl?” Mrs. Vincent concluded that poise, confidence, intelligence, ability to lead, selflessness, and outstanding character are what set Southfield girls apart from the rest. She praised Class 8 for reflecting these characteristics, noting, “Once you are a Southfield girl, you are forever a Southfield girl.” We congratulate all our Southfield students for their achievements this year!
